Wedding not the real truth behind Priyanka Chopra’s dramatic exit from Bharat

Wedding NOT The reason .Priyanka Chopra is no more part of the Salman Khan starrer Bharat.

The same was confirmed by the film’s director, Ali Abbas Zafar, in a tweet in which he hinted at Priyanka Chopra’s wedding with boyfriend and American pop singer Nick Jonas.

Soon after the news broke out, reports suggesting that the two plan to wed in October this year started doing the rounds.

Some reports even suggested that the couple got engaged in London on the actress’s birthday on July 18.

Nick, say sources, even proposed to her with a Tiffany ring.

In fact, it’s said that the American star shut down Tiffany ‘s outlet in New York City as he wanted to choose the perfect ring for his ladylove.

Nothing is more important than love and marriage indeed would be a milestone for the global diva.

So, it’s only natural that she drops everything else to plan her dream wedding.

But that’s not the only reason Priyanka opted out of Bharat, insist insiders.

A thorough professional that she is, Priyanka wouldn’t have just walked out of a prestigious project, where stakes run high.

Sources reveal that she was first supposed to shoot for 60 days.

This was later stretched to 90 days, which may have upset her packed schedule.

It may be mentioned that after Priyanka, actors including Tabu, Disha Patani and Nora Fatehi were added to the cast.

As is known, Priyanka is great friends with Salman’s sister Arpita Khan.

She first broke the news of her wanting to opt out of Bharat to Arpita.

The two girls then met Salman and informed him of the same.

The beneficiary of this twist in the tale seems to be Katrina Kaif, who, say sources, was keen to do the film.

Salman, who shares a great comfort level with Katrina Kaif,, too wished to have her in the film.

While we still wait for an official statement from the production house and Priyanka, the actor continues to shoot for Shonali Bose’s The Sky Is Pink in Mumbai.

Bharat also stars Jackie Shroff, Sunil Grover and Aashif Sheikh.

It’s jointly produced by Atul Agnihotri, Alvira Khan Agnihotri, Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar.

The film is reportedly a remake of the 2014 South Korean film Ode to My Father.

It’s scheduled to release during Eid 2019.
