All roads lead to Bambolim, Goa where the 48th edition of IFFI is taking place. A riot of sun, sand and cinema… the festival has drawn the who’s who of film world. From Shah Rukh Khan to Shahid Kapoor and from Sridevi to AR Rahman, all have dropped by for the inauguration of IFFI and among all, it was Shah Rukh who rocked the stage with a superb performance.



 IFFI is a great platform for filmmakers to showcase their talent and art. Nearly 200 movies will be screened at the festival, beginning with the film Beyond the Clouds, which marks the official debut of Ishaan Khatter into the world of cinema.



International Film Festival of India (IFFI), which was founded in 1952, is back for its 48th edition. The festival will see the screening of 200 films and will open with renowned Iranian filmmaker Majid Majidi’s first India-based film Beyond the Clouds. Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan inaugurated its opening ceremony today in Goa. Veteran actor Sridevi opened the Indian Panorama section at the festival. She also paid homage to the legends of Indian cinema.


Union Information and Broadcast Minister Smriti Irani was also present at the opening ceremony along with Goa’s Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar.



The festival honored megastar Amitabh Bachchan with the Indian film personality of the year award. This year, Karan Johar, Ekta Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Huma Qureshi, Jhanvi Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Anurag Basu, Farah Khan, Shekhar Kapur, Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari and many more will be attended the festival.
