Earlier the rumour, that Shahid Kapoor will collaborate with Airlift Director Raja Krishna Menon for his upcoming film which is based on a real life story of a Boxer.

According to the reports of Media house, Shahid has already started prepping himself for the film.

Shahid is undergoing extensive training.

He will be drilling for three months with a professional boxer for his role.

Shooting will begin from

The shooting of the film will start from this December.

The film is based on the life of a Professional boxer, it will take us through the reality of his life and all will pluck us about the up’s and down’s of his life.

Source revealed about the shooting

A source revealed to Media house, “Shahid will begin the prep for Raja’s film simultaneously with the prep for his other film,

the Hindi remake of Arjun Reddy helmed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Both films require him to look lean and train in action.

Raja’s team is currently on the lookout for a professional boxer who will train Shahid for the part.

They are also looking for an actress to play his leading lady.”

Talking about Shahid kapoor’s personal life, he is preparing himself to welcome his second child with wife Mira Rajput in October

and will be taking few days off to serve to his father duty, but it won’t affect his working schedule

A source also added, “After the Batti Gul Meter Chalu (Shree Narayan Singh’s upcoming social-drama which is currently under production) dates got postponed (following an issue over non-payment of dues),

the schedules of his other films got pushed around too but Shahid is making up for it by working extra hours.

Once back from the Uttarakhand schedule in Tehri and Dehradun of Batti in mid-June

, he starts prepping for Arjun Reddy that goes on the floors soon after.”

The filmmaker also told media that, “Yes, Shahid will be training for at least three months to portray the role of a boxer authentically on screen.

He is a trained dancer and is nimble on his feet which will come in handy for this film.”

Shahid asked about his journey

When Shahid was asked about the journey of his life he said, “It’s been a journey of a young kid who didn’t know what it meant to be an actor.

And now I understand my privilege and responsibilities and I am thankful for it.

I’m also proud of what I’ve achieved and I feel the need to grow and evolve.”

He also added, “It has been 15 years in this industry and I’ve given a large part of my life to it, so I want to maximize my effort for this job.

Yeah, I’m a very different person today.”
